When we first purchased our 1973 Avion we purchased our first set of Anderson Levelers.

We really have liked them!
Sadly, over the past 8 years, 3 of them have cracked, but Anderson does have a good lifetime guarantee, so they have replaced them. When they have broken, it has been when the tire is firmly on the leveler or being backed off the Leveler. The ones that cracked have also been the back Leveler which is unimpeded by the duel axel. So go figure.
These are the type of levelers we like instead of using the plastic waffle style blocks you build up. (Had the waffle/stack a block ( and boards) with our class A motorhome many yrs ago.

Here are the modifications we have had to make to our Andersons Levelers with our Avions.
1. Kevin screwed in non-skid plates on bottoms bc they tend to slip on paved, concrete or thick gravel surfaces.

Now we notice on the Anderson website that they are making these plastic levelers WITH GROOVES cut into the bottom surface. Hopefully, that helps.
More mods…..
Then when we upgraded our tires on our current 1987 Avion to 16″ tires in 2022, it became really difficult at times to remove the one in between the tires- especially when on a paved or concrete as the land offers no give or ability to wiggle the Levelers loose.
2. So the second modification this time has been to sever off the broken bit at end on one of them and use this shorter one purely for in between the tires.

Time will tell if making this one Leveler shortened will work to make it much easier to get it in and out of place in between our tires. We think it will!
PS– we also have recently purchased a set of the Utility Blocks from Quality Plastics.

We will also have them linked out on our Amazon FAV’S list on our website Resource Page.
These are super nice large 1.5″ thick flat pads with yellow rope handles. When we only need to level up to this height, we will use these instead of our Andersons.
We also purchased these flat blocks because sometimes even the 4 inch lift of the Andersons is not been enough, and so these Utility Blocks are used underneath the Anderson Leveler and with their thin rubber mat in between that comes with the Andersons.
We will keep you posted!
Wishing you safe travels, a level trailer and journeys of joy!
Kevin, Luise and Nutmeg!
