As we travel through so many diverse climates, flora, fauna and terrains as RVers one thing remains constant….Flies, gnats, black flies, fruit flies, etc. are everywhere!! No where has been immune, though we will say that Arizona so far has had the least!

We have found a product that silently, efficiently and cleanly rids our travel trailer of unwanted (and often unseen or noticed) gnats, flies and other flying species! No more sticky fly tape getting stuck on everything–including YOU, no leaky liquid solution traps! Given the longevity of the trap insert it is also very affordable too!

Especially tricky is if you leave your porch light on after dark (even to just take the pup for a walk,) when you come back to your RV and open your door it is amazing how many little tiny, almost microscopic flies come in-no matter how quick you are! This thing nails them while you sleep! It makes no sounds, can be installed where it is pet and kid safe too.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Blue & UV Light

Specially designed blue & UV LEDs attract and trap flying insects such as houseflies, fruit flies, and plant gnats. We find the gentle blue light is a great night light in our kitchen area, but you could also opt to place it in the bathroom as well. It is a clean set up, no dripping, no chemicals to spill so we actually plug it into one of the outlets over our kitchen counter. Notoriously flies, etc. are going to be drawn to areas where there is food prep, dining and trash- so that is why we use it here.

DON’T BELIEVE US??

Here are “before & after” photos in our Avion travel trailer after 3 months on the road with a new cartridge! We have been in the states of WI, MI, IN, NY, PA, VT, NJ, NC, VA, SC, GA over this time period. YES…everyone of even those tiny black specs is a fly of some type (and we keep our fruit in our fridge) No more mosquito’s humming at our ear when we are falling asleep, house flies end up stuck here (if not on our fly swatter first) and those little No-See-ems are history!

We really have been impressed by this unit. We started using it over a year ago and have just use up our last of 4 refills so it is not like you are burning through the refills either (well, maybe in Florida you may! haha!). It can be purchased at most hardware stores, Walmart, Amazon, etc. We purchased ours at an Ace Hardware.
